So...just when we thought our fun days of set trips were over, I recieve a phone call from an anonymous source informing me that they will be filming Twilight really close to my home.
So me and 3 other TwilightMoms/ Twilight20-somethings headed out to the site location, in hopes of finding a little Twilight love.
We were on the set for a total of 3 days. I'll break it up day by day for ya'll!
DAY ONE:
We arrived at the location around 11am. We headed to base camp, parked in crew parking, and checked out the surroundings. There was a lot of trailers, but no stars. The Summit people got very clever this time around, and were using an alias on their signs....but we found the Volvo, and knew it was the right place to be!
So we followed the yellow signs, (just like the yellow brick road!) to the places where they were shooting. The first place was on a golf course. We could see the cameras and fog machines. So we decided we needed to go play a round of golf. I went in to the golf store and asked the man if we'd be allowed to play. He said sure. The price was $31....then he asked me if we would be needing clubs...I looked at him like he had an extra eyeball growing out of his forehead or something, and said; "Clubs?! What would we need clubs for??" (Uhh...so yeah. I wasn't really planning on playing golf....so for some reason, I'm thinking clubs like, the kind cavemen carry around...yeah. Don't ask. This is the side effects that occur with major sleep deprivation.
) So the man looks at me suspiciously and say; "Do you even know how to play golf?" And I'm like, "Yeah! Of course....well, not professionally or anything." And he says, "That's fine. But have you ever been on a golf course?" In which I tell him I have...which is true. I've played mini-golf MANY times! hehe. Then I tell him I live across the street from a golf course....which I do. I just never go there. hehe.
So he tells us that the clubs will be $20/each, and each person needs them. Plus the little golf cart is $26 per couple...which we would've needed, cuz it was hot. And apparently you need "golf clubs" to lug around when you're golfing. LOL!
So anyways, the golf was quickly approaching close to $100...we decided that it was a little too much for 4 girls to pay that, so we just went back to base camp and waited for the actors to come back from shooting. (Maybe forever_bitten can tell you her story of Pedro @ the other set location that day.... hehe.)
ETA: I just thought I'd throw in the comment, that while it might sound silly that we considered playing golf, there were lots of actual golfers watching them film, which is what gave us the idea in the first place...and the next day when we talked with Peter and Kellan, they asked why we didn't just go play a round of golf. LOL! We told them it was too expensive, and we didn't have a fancy hat...a crew member told us we could walk on the course and watch, but we really didn't want to be a nuisance, so we just kept our comfy spot out of the way at base camp... ;)
We had pizza delivered to base camp, and are munching happily away and gulping down 2-liters of soda straight from the bottle, when who walks up beside us? Nikki Reed! We look directly at her, and she makes eye contact, smiles, walks by us, throws some trash out, looks back at us, and then heads off to her trailer...we were such complete idiots from lack of sleep, food, water and excessive heat, that we didn't realize it was Nikki until it was too late! And what do I have sitting next to me, waiting to hand to her? The Nikki Reed Love Book! (Yes, I know...I should've sent that out AGES ago! But I hit some snags, and got busy, and well....it turned out for the best, okay?!
) So we're feeling like a couple of boobs, and kicking ourselves for being dorks. A few minutes later, Kristen's double walks out and greets us. We asked her if she'd mind delivering Nikki's book to her, and she happily obliges. A minute later, Nikki bursts out from the trailer screaming happy profanities of excitement over this love book. She gives us great big hugs and thank yous, looks at her love book, shows it off the cast members, ect. She was so cute!!! In the book, I gave her one of the necklaces my mom sells on etsy, and she immediately put it on and had us take a pic!

So we chat for a while, and Kristen comes over and hangs out with us too. And they're both so sweet and cool! Nikki calls Kristen "Stu", which I thought was absolutely darling!!! Kristen ate some of our pizza, and April handed it to her on two hands while bowing her head. (haha...okay, maybe I'm just teasing her a little...she didn't actually BOW. But it was funny how she handed it to her. Seriously. She cracks me up!!!!)

So the night ended on a happy note with lots of fun and laughter. Nikki invited us to come back the next morning, where we got some AWESOME pictures (with the other cast members in costume) and had some great moments! So stay tuned tomorrow for the report on DAY 2 coming @ 9:30am PST.
