What do you think of it, and why do you think Edward chose this car?

As Bella says "Because I was so fragilely human, so accident-prone, so much a victim to my own dangerous bad luck, apparently I needed a tank-resistanat car to keep me safe."

I love that he got her a missle proof car. It just made me chuckle when she figured that out.

She needs to live in it until he makes her a vampire.

The car is nice...I think he got it because it is durable.

I MISS THE TRUCK!!!

Missile-proof? It is sooo Edward to go just the littlest bit overboard protecting Bella!
I want to see the after car!!

It took me a minute to figure out that Bella was driving something sleek and impressive but once I did of course I was sooo curious to know why she was driving it!! Now I know that Bella mentions that the truck finally died but who thinks that maybe Edward was behind that?

I totally think that Edward was behind the truck's "death". Im sure that Rosalie had a hand in it too!

Oh Edward was totally behind it... I can't believe otherwise. And yes Rosalie could have taken part so Edward could claim he was innocent!

OK -- HOW Did you find the pics of the Guardian??? I've been searching the net for those for a few days now and couldn't find anything that verified that such a model exists!!!!! Thank you!!! ((I'm gonna have to make one of them into part of my signature ... or avatar .. or something!!))

As for the car, the firsttime I read the chapter and the description of the car, I was killing myself laughing -- a missle proof car!!! With body armor!! How funny! I love that she realizes that all the guys probably had a chuckle over it .... and I love her little epiphany when she thinks that he really does love her enough to want to keep her safe ....

Oh -- and definitely count me among those who feel that Rosalie & Edward definitely killed the poor truck .....

There is no doubt that Edward was behind the Chevy's early demise. I'm sure that Bella will be thrilled when she figures that out.

The way I read it, she already suspects that he's behind it -- thats why she describes it as being "Very Convenient" ..... she knows the truck had NO issues for two straight years ... then all of a sudden it just up and dies?? Uh uh -- she's too smart for that, but she also realizes that with Jacob out of the picture, she's out of recourses to have it repaired .. and at this point, what's the point of arguing with Edward??

I love that she had to find out the details about the car from 2 strangers. I can't wait to hear her conversation with Edward about that! I love that she realizes it is just because he loves her so much he wants to protect her, even if it is overboard. She is understanding just how much he loves her and how deserving she is of his love. She needs to stop doubting herself and I think she is seeing that. I can't wait for more...

I love the pictures of the car...I was imagining something totally different! I think that Bella needs body armor on more then just the truck. I think it was Edwards way ton ensure that she is around for the wedding...no accidents to get her out of it!
